Feistian Pact...

You know, each time I watch this "act" - and this particular video too - I think to myself:

"man - this is what Patti Smith would have done had she been backed-up by the full power of the rock star making machine...!"

Patti Smith or... Laura Nyro.

Leslie Feist, instead, is the lucky recipient of these rewards -
and she looks cool in the process, whereas the other two always looked weird, at best...

I'm not the only one who draws a parallel between these three artists, I hope; after all, according to Yahoo Videos, Feist's list of similar artists includes kinship with such disparate acts as
Iron & Wine
The Arcade Fire
Regina Spektor
The Shins
The Postal Service


Feist, Smith and Nyro at least appear more as if they were cut from the same cloth...!
