and TODAY is the official
BEGINNING OF WINTER!

Tell that to those who have gone through
TWO huge snowstorms -
including the BLIZZARD last week!

I find it ironic, too, of course,
on a very personal level,
that WINTER begins on the 22nd
exactly the date of the month
that I associate with DEATH now...
(for those of you who haven't
either paid attention to
-or simply READ- me,
the 22nd is the day
back in March of 2006
where I saw a dear one die
before my very eyes...
Ever since, evidently,
each 22nd of the month
merely adds a number
to the totals of my
bereavement period...
But, as Dolores O'Riordan sang,
DOES ANYONE CARE?

not through any means -
lest you want to see me
go MEDIEVAL
on your "heinie"...!
